We're expanding our adult programming into trades and manufacturing, a program built around three ideas: experienced tradespeople brought in as sessional trainers and site mentors, financial literacy taught in the context of the trade itself, and a clear pathway to pension and retirement security for construction and manufacturing workers. This role focuses on the facilitation of this programming and assists in the building of it.

- Deliver high-quality, community-centred, play-based STEAM and digital skills programming for learners of all ages primarily in City of Kawartha Lakes and adjacent communities, and occasionally in communities across the province.
- Maintain current knowledge of trends, initiatives and best practices of STEAM education and technologies and support their integration in Ampere’s programs as appropriate
- Develop and manage full-cycle curriculum resources from initial concept through to final assessment.
- Create practical, supportive resources and "train-the-trainer" tools to help our STEAM educators feel confident and inspired.
- Foster an environment wherein learners enjoy an exceptional program experience and are challenged in a positive, growth-minded manner.
- Engage with and respond to community members and learners to ensure our programming is community-driven and accessible.
- Support evaluation and community surveys, and provide project reporting back to the evaluation team to help improve future program delivery.
- Other duties as assigned such as maintaining teaching and tech equipment, creating registration pages on related apps as needed, recording attendance, capturing delivery events through photos and videos, etc.
- Ability to work in-person in our Lindsay Makerspace, in community locations across the City of Kawartha Lakes, and occasionally in other locations across the province.
- Note: The Ontario Delivery team is beginning to co-design and deliver STEAM programming with community partners across the province. Opportunities to travel within the province may present themselves in this role.
