Job Summary 

Join a creative team working on meaningful projects that support STEAM education and AI literacy across Canada. We’re hiring a Graphic Designer to join our team. We’re looking for a detail-oriented educational designer with a strong production background to support the development of high-quality print and digital materials. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a structured environment, enjoys executing within established brand guidelines, and takes pride in producing accurate, polished work. This role focuses on the consistent execution, formatting, adaptation, and production of education design assets across a variety of projects. The ideal candidate is highly organized, dependable, and experienced in preparing files for production with a strong eye for detail and quality control.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support Ampere’s internal initiatives, as well as creative for external partners, funders, and collaborative programs.
  • Produce and adapt educational and communication materials using established brand guidelines
  • Format and update existing layouts across print and digital applications
  • Ensure consistency across typography, spacing, layout, colour, and branding standards
  • Prepare print-ready production files with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Conduct quality assurance checks on files before release or print production
  • Use clear communication, incorporate feedback efficiently, and stay aligned with project goals.
  • Manage multiple projects and revisions in a fast-moving environment
  • Maintain organized working files and production documentation

Attributes and Qualifications: 

  • Degree in Design or Visual Communication
  • 4+ years of experience in Education Design with a strong focus on production work
  • Strong understanding of print production processes and file setup
  • High proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
  • Strong foundation in typography, layout, and visual systems
  • Ability to follow direction and execute work accurately and efficiently
  • Exceptional attention to detail and production precision
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Clear communication and collaboration skills
  • Comfortable handling repetitive, production-heavy tasks with consistency and care
  • Experience with accessibility standards (PDFs, EPUBs) is an asset

Ampere prioritizes the safety of our employees and the community members we work with, because of this we may require both new hires and current team members to undergo a Vulnerable Sector Screening (VSS).
